Design
Considerations
-
Development
Environment: The choice of
C++ Visual Studio ensured good performance in acquisition, storage, and display.
-
Object
Oriented: OOP should allow for more flexibility, easing program modifications in the future.
-
Memory
management: Advanced buffer design and memory management are required to provide "real-time data acquisition" and "signal graphic display" software a significant margin in order to prevent any loss of data under optimized system resources.

BIO-FEEDBACK
|
Short
Description
This program uses audio feedback to react to the grip force that is being applied to two sensors. The system is used to develop right grip and left grip coordination for patients who suffer from fine motor skill deficiency in their hands.

Design
Considerations
Noise from grip sensor input: The key to success is to filter grip sensor noise from the signal knowing that different types of human grips produce different types of signals. This is achieved by adjusting the sampling method and the dynamic range of the sensor to match the characteristics of the user's grip.
The design was executed for
